4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone! We had a quiet 4th in Ridgecrest...well, as quiet as it gets with two little ones! :) We barbecued and tried out the new ice cream maker attachment for my mixer. The ice cream tasted pretty good, but it came out to be more like a milkshake. It definitely was more like ice cream today, after it spent all night in the freezer.

Matt and Bennett had fun lighting fireworks in the front yard - Liam, on the other hand, wasn't sure how he felt about all that. Afterward, we drove out to Gateway school to watch the Ridgecrest show, which turned out to be a wonderful spot! We were close enough to here the boom, but it was nice because we had a quick getaway. Overall, it was a lovely holiday!
Waiting for the ice cream...we thought it
wouldn't take as long in a mixer...
Liam watching the fireworks.
You can tell he's having fun!
